Candidates for SC City Council Seat 7 (Vote for 1)

The candidates are: Teresa O'Neill, John Mlnarik, and Bill Collins.

Ballot designations and ballot statements are from the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters, as submitted by the candidates.

Warning: There is substantial political action committee spending (mailers, ads, robocalls) for Marsalli, Davis, Mlnarik, and Gillmor from the South Bay Labor Council (Davis and Mlnarik), Police Officers PAC (Davis and Marsalli), Chamber (Marsalli), and 49ers stadium contractors (Davis, Mlnarik, Marsalli, and Gillmor).

Teresa O'Neill - Businesswoman

John Mlnarik - Small Business Owner (Note: Mr. Mlnarik is a bankruptcy attorney who owns a law firm.)

Spousal Employment Concern: Mr. Mlnarik's financial disclosure forms (FPPC form 700) show that his wife works as a highly paid project manager for Devcon.  Devcon is involved in a partnership (Turner/Devcon) to build the 49ers stadium (see FPPC form 700 below ballot statement.)

Mr. Mlnarik has received $1500 in campaign contributions from the 49ers stadium contractor, Devcon.

49ers Stadium Concern: Mr. Mlnarik spoke before the RDA Oversight Board on July 9, 2012 in favor of giving the $30 million in disputed redevelopment property tax dollars to the 49ers instead of to our local Santa Clara Unified schools/city/county.  He said that even though he has three young children and nothing is more important than their education, he favors giving our RDA property tax money to the 49ers instead of to our schools/city/county.  Here's the link. FPPC Form 700, the financial disclosure form, indicates that John Mlnarik's spouse makes >$100,000/year working as a construction project manager for the 49ers stadium contractor, Devcon.
